As a key supplier to industries such as automotive, aerospace, and general engineering, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality and technical excellence. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join our skilled team.They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Toolmaker with strong experience in press tools and progression tooling. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing precision tools used in high-volume production processes. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of craftsmanship, an understanding of complex tooling, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:" Manufacture, maintain, and repair a wide range of press tools, including single operation (Single Op) and multi-stage progression tooling." Read, interpret, and work from detailed technical drawings and CAD models." Operate a variety of manual and CNC machinery including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM (electrical discharge machining) to precise tolerances." Assemble tools and conduct tests to ensure tooling meets specifications and production readiness." Work closely with the engineering, design, and production teams to ensure efficient tool functionality and to support process improvements." Identify and diagnose tool-related issues, making necessary modifications or repairs." Conduct routine maintenance and ensure tools are stored and handled correctly." Ensure all work adheres to company quality standards and health & safety regulations.Requirements:" Proven experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on press tools and progression tooling." In-depth knowledge of machining processes and tool assembly." Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints." Skilled in using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges." Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment." Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail."
