COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our client is a one of the largest commercial &industrial refrigeration engineering companies in the UK, with offices in all the major cities. This allows them to successfully support nationwide contracts and the needs of their clients.

Due to their on-going success, they are now recruiting for an experience Refrigeration Project Manager, covering the UK, who is keen to progress their career.

The successful applicant will have refrigeration installation project experience ideally in the Supermarket, Retail or Commercial sectors.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Support the delivery of projects across all business units to the client's specifications and in line with departmental processes and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primarily working as a Refrigeration Project Manager in retail construction projects
  • Proactively managing the delivery of each project in conjunction with the client
  • Working as part of a team, provide support, share knowledge and mentoring to other project manager
  • Acting as the conduit for communication from the client, ensure communication is shared to the relevant area of the business and ensure the loop is closed in all escalations or requests for information
  • Taking ownership of all financial aspects of the projects under their control including materials and labour
  • Planning, procuring and organising all labour, materials and plant activities to meet exacting client requirements
  • Preparing a project budget; scheduling expenditures; evaluating variances and propose corrective actions and ensure financial forecasts are issued in a timely manner to ensure account forecasting
  • Ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, quality, legal and health & safety standards
  • Working with internal stakeholders to maximise profitability and demonstrate cost management

  • Understanding of the business & customers objectives and vision
  • Delivering your projects on time, on budget and exceeding customers' expectations.
  • Driving continuous improvement by innovating process techniques

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE RQEUIRED

  • 2 years + Supermarket Installation background
  • A proven track record of project management
  • Experience in commercial or retail refrigeration sector, either in service and maintenance or design and installation
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
  • Great communicator both orally and written
  • Experience in setting targets and priorities to meet the business and client's needs
  • An ability to plan a course of action and adjusts work to meet the changing expectations of our clients
  • An understanding of the importance of making key decisions and time management
  • An ability to anticipate & manage issues
  • An ability to communicate well at all levels, both internally and externally
  • The willing to travel to sites across the UK
  • An excellent approach to work
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • IT Skills, experience with Microsoft Excel
  • A commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Electrical Experience/qualifications desirable but not essential

Hours of work…

  • 37.5hrs per week. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Ideally Midlands based, with visits to Bristol Head Office / Hybrid - typically 2 days in the office including a Wednesday
