Vehicle Technician

Location: Tipton, West Midlands, easily commutable from Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Birmingham

Salary: £44,600 basic per year (£19.00 per hour) plus enhanced overtime at £28.50 per hour

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift 07:00 to 16:30 and 08:30 to 18:00

Job Type: Full time, permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced LCV Technician / Van Mechanic / Light Vehicle Technician to join a thriving and newly opened Van Centre. You will be carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of light commercial vehicles in a modern and well equipped workshop.

Key Responsibilities of an LCV Technician / Van Mechanic

  • Diagnosing faults on a wide range of vans and light commercial vehicles
  • Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Completing repairs in line with compliance and safety regulations
  • Working as part of a professional team to deliver high quality customer service
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop

Skills and Qualifications for an LCV Technician / Van Mechanic

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience working on vans or light commercial vehicles

Desirable

  • Experience in a main dealer or commercial workshop environment
  • Manufacturer training or progression towards Master Technician level
