Full Stack Web Developer
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours/week)

A well-established, mission-driven organisation based in Birmingham is currently seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join their growing digital team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and creative developer with both front-end and back-end experience to contribute to impactful digital projects that make a real difference.



The Role:

You'll work across the full web development lifecycle-from concept to deployment-supporting the development of user-centric websites and applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include both maintaining and enhancing existing platforms as well as contributing to the design and implementation of new features.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications and sites using a modern tech stack (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.)

  • Work with CMS platforms (primarily WordPress, with exposure to others like Umbraco)

  • Style applications using Sass, Bootstrap, and other front-end libraries

  • Ensure accessibility and performance across all web platforms

  • Collaborate in team discussions around digital strategy and ongoing project planning

  • Contribute to code reviews and promote best practice in clean, maintainable code

  • Suggest improvements to enhance the digital user experience



What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 12 months of hands-on development experience

  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress (and ideally other CMS platforms such as Umbraco)

  • Experience developing front-end interfaces and implementing new functionality

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON and XML

  • Image manipulation and optimization skills

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with an eye for detail
