Bid Writer Role Overview
As a Construction Bid Writer, you will lead the creation of persuasive and tailored bid submissions for a variety of public and private sector construction tenders. You'll collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure our bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client needs.
Bid Writer Key Responsibilities

Write and edit clear, compelling bid content including executive summaries, method statements, and case studies.

Analyse tender documentation and identify submission requirements and deadlines.

Collaborate with technical teams to gather project-specific information.

Develop and manage proposal timelines and ensure timely submissions.

Maintain and update a library of standard responses, templates, and project references.

Conduct market and client research to tailor bids to target opportunities.
Bid Writer Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in bid writing within the construction industry.

Strong written communication skills with a flair for persuasive, concise writing.

Excellent organisational and project management abilities.

Understanding of construction terminology and processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management platforms (e.g., InDesign, Asite, Procore, etc.).

Bid Writer Preferred Qualifications

Degree in English, Communications, Construction Management, or related field.

APMP or equivalent bid/proposal management certification.
