Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: £27,000

Our client is seeking a Production Operation to work in their Production Department where you will be responsible for a diverse range of assembly work, including engineering spares and accessory products. This role involves operational processes such as media blasting, bonding, and curing tanks for all machines, as well as kit replenishment to assembly lines.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Assemble machine accessories such as baskets, hose connectors, and trollies.

Fabricate sub-assemblies and spare parts for engineer orders, including electrical and mechanical products.

Prepare and perform media blasting on a variety of tanks under controlled conditions.

Clean and prep tanks, apply transducers prior to oven curing, dismantle jigs to dispatch products to assembly lines, maintain machines, and general housekeeping of blasting and bonding areas.

Manufacture finished goods and sub-assemblies for production lines.

Manage stock and assist in kit out when required.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Education Required: High School Diploma or GED. Vocational/Technical training is beneficial.

Experience: 2 years in a relevant position, or ability to demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the role.

Work Experience Requirements:

Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions to produce desired products.

Understanding of time management, logistics, and process control to meet or exceed targets.

Ability to maintain records and adhere to quality and regulatory processes consistently.

Previous experience in grit blasting, powder coating, or similar finishing work is advantageous.

Proficient in the use of hand tools for electrical and mechanical production.

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to communicate rationally and professionally.

Effective communication across all levels.

Self-motivated with a positive outlook.

Capable of working well under pressure and handling multiple tasks.
