Based in Bishop's Stortford, this hybrid role sits in a 40 person audit team within a supportive office of 100 staff.You'll oversee a varied client portfolio including SMEs, charities, academies, and larger groups, with 70% of your time spent on audit engagements and 30% on accounts prep and tax computations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead audit engagements, on-site and remotely
- Review files and coach junior staff
- Manage client relationships and resolve complex queries
- Ensure work is delivered to deadline and budget
- Contribute to ongoing team development and quality improvement
About You:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Solid experience in external audit within a UK accountancy firm
- Confident with UK GAAP / FRS 102
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff and working directly with clients
- Knowledge of Caseware is a bonus
