Internal Audit Manager

Overview:A rare opportunity to join a Top 50 UK accountancy firm ranked among the UK's Top 100 Best Large Companies to Work For.This hybrid Internal Audit Assistant Manager role offers real career development, client-facing responsibility, and a clear path to management.Offices available in Essex, Cambridge or Central London.

The Role:You'll be a key part of a growing internal audit team delivering assurance and advisory services to a broad client base, including academies, charities, and a variety of other sectorsExpect a 70/30 split between internal audit fieldwork and reporting/advisory work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle internal audit assignments

• Design audit tests, execute fieldwork, and draft reports

• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

• Support junior team members with training and supervision

• Liaise with governance boards and shape annual audit plans

• Participate in tenders and business development initiatives

About You:

• ACA / ACCA / IIA qualified (or finalist level)

• Experience in internal audit within an Accountancy Practice

• Strong communicator with client-facing experience

• Able to work across multiple audits and deadlines

• Sector experience in education/NFP is beneficial but not essential
