The Opportunity- Financial PlannerOur client is a well-established, independent wealth planning firm based near Bishop's Stortford, providing whole-of-market advice to a loyal and growing client base across Hertfordshire, Sussex, Kent, and London. Serving HNW retirees, accumulators, families, and SME owners, the firm manages over 300 client relationships, with assets ranging from £250k to £8m.

The firm prides itself on long-standing client relationships, a strong professional introducer network, and a true client-first approach — with no sales targets, ensuring quality advice remains the core focus.

Due to internal restructuring, they are now seeking an experienced Financial Planner to take over and manage a book of approximately £35 million AUM (150 clients). This is a pure servicing role, freeing up a Senior Adviser to concentrate on new business generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of 150 HNW clients.
  • Deliver holistic financial advice across pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning, protection, and more.
  • Maintain and enhance client satisfaction without the pressure of sales targets.
  • Leverage full administrative and paraplanning support to ensure client servicing remains a priority.
  • Any new business you organically generate will be fully recognised and rewarded.

Ideal Candidate Profile- Financial Planner

  • Previous experience as a Financial Planner/Advisor within an independent wealth planning environment.
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum; Chartered status or aspiration towards Chartered highly desirable (although restricted background candidates will also be considered).
  • Comfortable servicing HNW clients and managing a significant AUM.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Quilter, Transact, and AJ Bell preferred.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Office, CashCalc, and FE Analytics would be advantageous.
  • Strong relationship management, technical competence, and a client-centric approach are essential.

Package:

  • Base salary: £80,000 - £85,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
