TeacherActive is proud to be supporting a fantastic and nurturing nursery in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. We are currently seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis, working full-time Monday to Friday.

About the Role – Nursery PractitionerAs a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities to promote development in all areas.

Observing and assessing children’s progress, keeping detailed records and sharing information with parents/carers and the wider team.

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment, ensuring all children’s individual needs are met.

Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
-
Following all safeguarding and health & safety procedures to the highest standard.

Attending team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience RequiredTo be considered for this position, you must have:

A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).

Experience working with children in a nursery, early years, or similar childcare setting.
-
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
-
A warm, caring, and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for working with young children.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
-
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
