TeacherActive is proud to be supporting a fantastic and nurturing nursery in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. We are currently seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis, working full-time Monday to Friday.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and passionate setting that prioritises high-quality care and education. You must be able to drive due to the location of the nursery.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities to promote development in all areas.

• Observing and assessing children’s progress, keeping detailed records and sharing information with parents/carers and the wider team.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment, ensuring all children’s individual needs are met.

• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

• Following all safeguarding and health & safety procedures to the highest standard.

• Attending team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).

• Experience working with children in a nursery, early years, or similar childcare setting.

• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

• A warm, caring, and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for working with young children.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

• Enhanced DBS on the update service – or be willing to obtain one through us.
