Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

SRG is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing beverage development business who are now looking to hire a Laboratory Technician to join the team at their site near Bishops Stortford. This exciting Laboratory Technician opportunity would be well suited to a recent scientific graduate who is passionate about the beverage industry and keen to kick-start their career in a laboratory.

Role / Description

  • Supporting senior members of staff with customer development briefs
  • Mixing and preparing samples in the laboratory
  • Working with the Developers to test flavours in beverage products
  • Maintaining the raw materials and consumables databases
  • Ordering supplies and general housekeeping of the laboratory.

Requirements

  • Recently graduated in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences, Biochemistry or a similar subject
  • An obvious passion for food science and/or the wider beverage industry
  • Accuracy in weighing and measuring out raw materials
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a multitude of departments
  • Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.
