SEMH Teacher - Bishop's Stortford - £35,000 to £55,000 - Permanent Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and resilient teacher to join a specialist independent school supporting pupils with SEMH needs and associated challenges.

This full-time, permanent teaching role is based in Bishop's Stortford and offers a unique environment where therapeutic support and personalised education go hand in hand. The school caters for a small number of pupils who require a high level of consistency, structure, and emotional understanding.

The Role:

  • Teaching a small class of pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs

  • Creating and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across a broad curriculum

  • Supporting pupils in developing emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Working closely with therapists, mentors and support staff as part of a wider pastoral team

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience through personalised learning plans

Requirements:
