CAD Engineer

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting a CAD Engineer to join a leading engineering team designing and manufacturing high-integrity mechanical systems. You will take ownership of component and tooling design for complex, precision-engineered products such as track and running gear systems, assemblies, and associated tooling, from concept and CAD modelling through to testing and production.
Key Responsibilities ofthe CAD Engineer:
- Produce 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Creo or similar CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Inventor).
- Design components, assemblies, and tooling with a focus on manufacturability, durability, and quality.
- Support prototypes, testing, and verification of designs for mechanical systems and assemblies.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth design transfer.
- Contribute to technical documentation and continuous designimprovements.
Requirementsofthe CAD Engineer:
- Proven experience as a CAD or Design Engineer in mechanical/manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Creo CAD software (other 3D CAD packages considered).
- Experience designing mechanical products, assemblies, and tooling.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, and machining.
- Time-served apprenticeship, HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent engineering background.
