My client is seeking an organised Bookkeeper to join their team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including processing payments and invoices, completing VAT returns, and preparing wages. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and IT skills, possibly with experience in a utility consultancy, and must be highly organised with a keen attention to detail.
Day-to-day of the role:- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases, then file hard copies.
- Cross-check payments from various suppliers and meter details.
- Complete VAT returns and verify the accuracy of business accounts, alerting the Accountant of any errors.
- Record any inconsistencies to help Accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
- Prepare employee wages and maintain accurate financial records.
- Must have excellent Excel and IT skills.
- Experience in a utility consultancy is advantageous but not required.
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
