The Role

Reporting to the Corrugator Manager, the successful candidate will feed paper to the corrugator machine with the use of a clamp truck. Working in a fast-paced environment, the candidate will ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

The main duties & responsibilities of the role will include:-

  • To safely operate a clamp truck and feed the corrugator with reels of paper weighing up to 3 tonnes.
  • Unload trailers containing reels of paper and ensure delivery drivers are following site rules.
  • Store reels of paper in the correct locations within the reel stores warehouse.
  • Follow a production plan to keep the corrugator running to ensure we deliver products to our customers on time and in full.
  • Stock rotation of reels of paper.
  • Flexibility and working as part of a team to learn other areas within the department.
  • Quality checks to be carried out on paper deliveries and outgoing papers to the corrugator.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to improve safety, quality and waste.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure corrugator production flow

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Forklift Truck Licence
  • Good Mathematical Skills
  • Basic PC Skills, to include outlook and excel
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Hardworking with a can-do, right first time approach
  • Flexible & Reliable
