Litigation Solicitor

Flexible Hybrid Working

We are working closely with a local authority in the northeast region to help them find an experienced and dynamic Solicitor to join their Litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and professional environment, delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of litigation areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation to the Council in various contentious areas.
  • Support the Senior Lawyer and manage cases relating to: Licensing law, Criminal and civil litigation, Contentious housing matters and Code of Conduct investigations.
  • Provide advocacy in courts and tribunals, draft legal documentation, attend committee meetings, and contribute to the development of the legal team.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate with a current practising certificate.
  • Substantial litigation and advocacy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.
  • Able to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
