Our clientWe are delighted to be working with a market leading, global manufacturing business, with a large complex manufacturing plant in County Durham.  They are keen to recruit an experienced Production Engineer to join their plant Engineering team. The opportunityReporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • New Product Introduction support
  • Project Management of new manufacturing equipment scoping and commissioning
  • Manufacturing assessment of new products
  • Time and Motion study
  • Line Balancing
  • Process and product control (PFMEA)
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Ergonomics and Risk Assessment
About youThe successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience of a similar role in a high volume manufacturing plant. Ideally you will be degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, or have equivalent industry experience.You will need significant experience of lean techniques in a production environment as well as APQP documentation including product design, process flow, manufacturing reviews, and PFMEA.This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic engineer with the drive and experience to lead improvement projects.
