Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North -East and are looking to recruit an experienced Production Technician on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities are as follows:-

  • Carrying out repairs to Automated production lines
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the maintenance program.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is scheduled and has the least amount of impact on production time as possible.
  • Keep a suitable range of spares in stock to cover most breakdowns
  • Ensure suitable external contractor engineers are on hand to help as required.
  • Perform a daily walk round to ensure all machines have been set and are running correctly.
  • Ensure all SOPS (Standard Operating Procedures) are carried out to standard
  • Maintain and keep up to date all equipment log books and record machine maintenance
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure Corrective and Preventative Action training is completed fully and promptly
  • Strive for continuous improvement across the plant
  • Operate machines in Manufacturing and Packing areas.
  • Ensure all tooling and change parts are stored in the correct manner to prevent deterioration and / or damage.
  • Inspect and polish tooling ready for the next production run so they are ready when required
  • Advise when tooling and change parts becoming overly worn and require replacing.
  • Keep records and logs of tooling.
  • Ensure Tools are in good condition and well maintained
