Property Surveyor

Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Property Surveyor for a reputable housing association based in the Northeast.

The property surveyor will manage property inspections, oversee repairs, and ensure the smooth running of void property processes.

Property Surveyor duties:

  • Ensuring the effective management of occupied and void properties repairs, therefore a good working knowledge of raising jobs and using a schedule of works is essential
  • Implement a high performing, customer focussed repairs, maintenance and voids service
  • Ensures that properties are kept in a good state of repair whilst complying with Health and Safety obligations and regulatory requirements
  • Carry out regular pre and post inspections and property surveys for activity relating to repairs; voids, dampness, insurance reclaims, tenant improvements, tenancy exchanges; etc.
  • Work collaboratively and manage external contractors ensuring they meet their contractual obligations in relation to cost, quality and performance.
  • Seek cost effective solutions to repair related issues.

Requirements of the Property Surveyor:

  • Experience working as a surveyor within a similar social housing/council maintenance environment
  • Technical or professional qualification e.g. HNC in building construction, maintenance or surveying or equivalent
  • Experience completing pre and post inspections on housing properties
