CNC Programmer - Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun, 6pm-6am)

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Salary: 25 ph + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer looking for a long-term role with cutting-edge machinery, interesting work and a growing engineering team? We're recruiting for a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company with over 45 years of success in precision engineering.

This is a weekend night shift position-perfect if you enjoy condensed working weeks and excellent work/life balance.

The Role

You will be working in a fast-paced machining cell, responsible for:

  • Programming, setting and operating vertical CNC machining centres

  • Completing frequent, efficient changeovers on varied components

  • Conducting 1st-off and in-process inspections to ensure high quality

  • Working with a wide range of materials, including exotic alloys

  • Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings to deliver conforming parts



What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' CNC machining experience

  • Confident programming Siemens and Heidenhain controls

  • Strong background with 3-axis and 4-axis machining (5-axis an advantage)

  • Excellent understanding of tooling, work holding, cutting strategies

  • Able to work to the highest standards of Health & Safety and Quality

  • A great team player with strong communication skills
