Evo Personnel are acting as an employment agency, and we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Lead for our prestigious manufacturing client in the Blackburn area.

 

Salary & Package

 

 

£40,000.00 - £43,000.00 DOE.

Day Shift

 

Monday - Friday 08:15 – 17:00.  

 

Requirements

 

Have a strong understanding of health & safety.

Ensure compliance is met in line with all statutory Health and Safety regulations.

Implement and carry out risk assessments.

Knowledge of ISO 45001.

Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.

Organise reports and audits.

Able to perform inspections.

Implement continuous improvement.

Be a strong, hands-on leader.

Work closely with the shop floor team.

Deliver training programmes.

Process documentation and administration.

Exceptional organisation and communication skills.

Able to use a health and safety management system.  

A strong understanding of IT and computer systems.

Have previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

You will be required to lead health & safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and ensure all the departments are fully engaged in Health & Safety practices. You’ll need to support health & safety development within the organisation whilst building rapports across the business.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone who has previously worked on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment.

 

This role is mainly based on the shop floor, although there is an element of working in the office to produce audits and reports. You’ll be required to bench mark the current health & safety practices, implement health and safety continues improvements, and be hands-on to lead by example.

The right candidate will be process driven, be a great people person with a manufacturing background and have the experience required to support in a forward-thinking company.
