Company details and job overview:Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a Collections Specialist on behalf of a business that is based in the Blackburn area. This company employs about 135 staff, has a turnover of circa 100 million pounds, and has been operating for over 40 years. You would join a team of 7 staff and have a "can do" attitude. The benefits include 25 days of annual leave, life insurance, income protection and sick pay. You would be able to work on a hybrid basis.Your new role as the Collections Specialist:· Deal appropriately with all incoming calls from customers, brokers, agents, solicitors and third parties to ensure that data protection and money laundering guidelines are always followed.· Make outbound calls during the role and ensure that best practice and appropriate telephone manner is used on all occasions.· Action ARUDD (cancelled direct debits) files daily· Handle arrears telephone calls from failed direct debits escalating to repossession calls.· Escalate the appointment of agents or solicitors when deemed appropriate to repossess the Company's assets.· Deal with the Administration/Liquidation of businesses, knowing what action to take and when.· Process credit and debit card payments using an online system.· Ensure legal notices and statements produced and issued daily.· Investigate customers and assets using the available online tools.· Deal with all administration correspondence assigned.· Assist in the training of new staff as assigned.Experience & Skills required to apply:• Resilient - able to deal with high pressure situations• Team player - self motivated, positive “can do” attitude, a never give up approach, and a drive to succeed• Diligent – acute attention to detail and investigative mind.• Help to promote a positive and inclusive environment.• Strong communicatorEssential:• Financial, analytical, and numerical skills• Demonstrable writing skills• Demonstrable telephone skills including negotiation skills• Advanced experience in debt collection (business to business)• Administration experience within a financial backgroundDesirable: • Advanced knowledge of Asset Finance and associated financial products• Excel data collation for reporting purposesSalary and Benefits on offer:• Salary: From £26,000 up to £30,000• 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays• Initially, the company will contribute 3% towards your pension, but when you've worked for the company for 2 years, they will then contribute 5%, or match your contribution up to 10%• Life insurance (4 x salary)• Sick pay• Income protection• A health and well-being programme that includes a health care cash planIf you're interested in this vacancy and you have collections / credit control experience, then please call me - .
