The Role:

We are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in various secondary schools across Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students and teachers in the classroom, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will be working under the guidance of qualified teachers, providing valuable assistance to students across different subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Provide support to students during lessons, both individually and in small groups.
Help students with learning activities, ensuring they understand instructions and stay on task.
Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students.
Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with teachers and other school staff.
Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
Participate in school activities and events.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a primary degree.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be passionate about education and supporting students.
Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
Have strong organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Be committed to the well-being and safeguarding of children.

Desirable:

Experience working with young people (voluntary or paid).
Knowledge of the UK secondary education system.
Strong academic background in core subjects.
A desire to pursue a career in teaching.
