I'm currently partnered with a market leading manufacturer in Blackburn who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves working on a double days shift pattern and is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes through both preventative and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct reactive maintenance to address and resolve breakdowns and malfunctions promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Collaborate with the production team to minimise disruptions and enhance productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field (e.g., NVQ, HNC, HND).
