Vertex IT Solutions are partnered with a well established UK based managed services business. Together, we are recruiting for a skilled IT Deskside Support Engineer on a permanent basis to operate soley on site at their customers office in Blackburn.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in supporting staff at the customer site with day to day IT issues.

General Duties Include:

  • To replace desktops, laptops and monitors as like for like and enabling a quick resolution with minimum inconvenience to the end user.
  • Perform Break fix on all desktop equipment
  • To ensure all drop ins/walk ups are logged on the ticketing system.
  • Supporting end users with active general issues within active directory, MS365 and basic networking

To qualify:

  • 2.5+ years experience in a support role
  • Expertise in analytical troubleshooting
  • A good understanding of networks and Windows Operating systems and Apple OS
  • Experience with Active Directory and SCCM
  • Experience with network fault troubleshooting
  • Basic hardware knowledge, Laptop Keyboards, Memory, Hard drives
