- Manage and develop a caseload of criminal defence matters
- Represent clients at police stations and in Magistrates’ Courts
- Participate in the out-of-hours police station rota
- Build and maintain strong local and regional networks to grow your caseload
- Deliver excellent client care and uphold professional standards
- Conduct your own advocacy where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- A valid practising certificate (SRA or CILEX)
- Duty Solicitor accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong client following preferred
- Ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent advocacy, communication, and client care skills
- Business development mindset and ability to network
- High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism
- Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A flexible, team-oriented approach
