Heavy Plant Engineer

£35000 tio £43,000 + Van + Bonus Scheme + OT

NEOS are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer/ Service Engineer/ Plant Fitter to join a well-established and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys working across a variety of equipment brands and models, with clear career progression and excellent benefits on offer.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with construction plant and equipment from leading manufacturers. . You will be confident inspecting, servicing, repairing, and carrying out LOLER and PUWER inspections to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a flexible and supportive working environment, along with opportunities for further training and internal promotion.

The Role:

  • Repair, service, and inspect a wide range of plant and equipment prior to hire and upon return

  • Fault diagnosis and repair in line with manufacturer recommendations

  • Carry out PUWER & LOLER inspections and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 systems

  • Work across a wide range of machinery including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, rollers, trailers, and associated equipment

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Professionally recognised qualification in plant maintenance and repair

  • Understanding of engines, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems

  • Experience working with equipment from major manufacturers (Takeuchi, JCB, Komatsu, etc.)

  • Full UK Driving License

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
