Duties will include
*Review and develop the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule,
*Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems
*Schedule both internal and external work(s)
*Manage the team to ensure machine availability.
*Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance.
*Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements undertaken
*Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose
*Manage and maintain site criticality survey.
*Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend
*Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery.
*Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery.
*Lead and develop capability in the team to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
*Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
*Provide technical expertise to the team
*Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand.
*Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the engineering department.
*Ensure that Housekeeping in all Engineering Controlled areas are kept to the highest standards.
*Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements

Successful candidates will have the following
*Experience of leading an Engineering department with strong leadership and team development skills.
*Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential
*Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles
*You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision-making skills and have a positive attitude to your work.
*Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures
*CMMS experience and knowledge
*Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site.
*Driven to deliver solutions, ideas and innovations in a positive and pragmatic way
*Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement
*Working knowledge of internal H&S audits and processes
*Capex and Project Management experience essential.

SALARY - 65000 - 68000
SHIFT - Days, Mon to Fri
LOCATION - Blackburn
HOLIDAYS - 25 plus Bank Holidays
