- Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on tools, jigs, fixtures and related equipment.
- To carry out the servicing and repairs of mould tools with the toolroom/moulding and production environment.
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations where necessary.
- Diagnose tooling issues and identify corrective actions to minimise the downtime.
- Perform regular inspections on tools to ensure they meet company standards and safety requirements.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble precision tools and equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise tooling for efficiency and quality.
- Document maintenance activities and complete work order accurately.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a Tooling Mechanic, Toolmaker, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, machine tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with CNC machines and precision equipment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
