Randstad is seeking a dedicated SEN TA and 1-to-1 support professional to join a Blackburn school starting September.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure holistic student support.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Typical Requirements

Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths are generally required. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification are highly beneficial.

Experience: Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is crucial.

Personal Attributes: We need people with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who are adaptable, patient, and empathetic.
