Our client is a well-established and growing civils contractor operating across the infrastructure, highways, and water sectors. Due to continued project wins and long-term frameworks, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is a role suited to a commercially astute professional with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial processes of projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring cost control, value recovery, and commercial compliance across multiple schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial process of infrastructure, highways, and water projects
Preparation, estimation, submission, and negotiation of interim valuations and final accounts
Managing variations, change control, and contractual correspondence
Cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management
Procurement and management of subcontractors
Ensuring compliance with contractual and company commercial procedures
Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance
About You
Minimum 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Proven background in infrastructure, highways, and/or water projects
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, ICE, JCT)
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
