Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant, with experience in either Early Years/Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2? We're looking for talented individuals to join our network of HLTA's across Blackburn with Darwen, to support in schools from September 2025.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the classroom, covering PPA time, teacher absences, and providing intervention or
  • Prepare or collaborate on lesson resources with the teacher.
  • Deliver engaging planned work in the teacher's absence, ensuring a controlled and safe learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a positive and collaborative learning experience for students.
  • Support students in a variety of ways, including working with classes, small groups, and individually.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a classroom setting.
  • Previous HLTA and Class Leadership experience.
  • A passion for primary education and a commitment to supporting student learning.
  • Comfort and confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Creativity, proactivity, and flexibility in your supporting style.
  • HLTA qualified (Level 3/Level 4 or above).
