What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will undertake statutory safeguarding inquiries and assessments in line with legal frameworks and local policies. You will develop and implement care plans that address the needs and risks of individuals, promoting their independence and quality of life. Acting as Safeguarding Duty Officer on a rota basis, you will respond to urgent safeguarding concerns. You will collaborate with health professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated support for service users. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and timely records of all interventions and decisions, provide advice and guidance regarding safeguarding processes and available resources, and participate in training and development activities to maintain professional competence and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding and social work practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
