The Role: We are seeking a creative and passionate Instructor/Unqualified Teacher to join our team. You will deliver engaging, unconventional lessons to small groups of students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will think outside the box, creating memorable learning experiences that capture student's imagination and make education accessible to diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver innovative, multi-sensory lessons that break away from traditional teaching methods
  • Adapt teaching materials creatively to meet individual learning needs
  • Track and report on student progress using varied assessment approaches
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists
  • Support student's social and emotional development through engaging activities

About You:

  • Experience working with young people with special educational needs
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education with a flair for innovation
  • Patient, flexible, and resilient approach
  • Natural ability to make learning relevant, fun, and accessible
  • Enthusiasm for experimenting with new teaching methods
  • Ability to build positive relationships with challenging students

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed teaching degree (QTS) without completed induction year
  • Strong HLTA experience in SEN settings
  • Experience implementing differentiated learning strategies
  • Relevant experience in education or youth work
  • Training in SEN approaches (desirable)
