Apprentice Engineering Technician

Apprentiship Pay:

Age 16-18 - £7.55 per hour

Age 19 or over in first year - £7.55 per hour

Aged 18-20 and have completed first year - £10.00 per hour

Aged 21 or over and have completed first year - £12.21 per hour

The Role  

Working across both the Higher and Further Education Engineering departments to support the effective delivery of the engineering curriculum. You will be expected to provide day to day co-ordination of workshop / assessment areas whilst working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students. You will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment within the engineering department, coordinating resource usage efficiently to deliver the curriculum. 

 

What we are looking for 

You should hold a Level 2 qualification in English and maths and have Experience of operating a range of relevant equipment, instructing and developing practical forms of delivery in an Engineering context. You should also have comprehensive  IT skills, particularly a sound understanding of any simulation software or using computer software to control physical equipment. As part of this role you will be expected to To study towards a level 3 qualification and successfully complete this within 48 months.
