1:1 Tutor - Blackburn- Immediate Start
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in Blackburn ideally with a background in SEN.
As a leading education agency, we are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Our Children's Education Team partners with local authorities across the North-West to provide tailored educational support for vulnerable pupils who are currently outside mainstream education.
Subjects: English, Maths, and Science.
Position Details:
Location: Within the community or in the pupils home -
Role: Primary Tutor (1:1)
Type: Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: GBP25+ per hour
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of professional references
QTS or equivalent tutoring experience
SEN experience (preferred, not essential)
About the Role:
We're looking for a patient and empathetic tutor who can develop and deliver personalised 1:1 learning plans. A therapeutic, student-led approach is often needed to re-engage learners and help them build structure and routine. The ultimate goal is to support the pupil's progress and prepare them for reintegration into an educational setting.
Prospero will support you throughout the placement, with regular check-ins and a requirement to submit weekly progress reports.
