Due to the rising demand for specialised support, we are excited to announce that we are seeking multiple enthusiastic and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our supportive teams across the Blackpool and Fylde Coast from September 2025. You'll be providing tailored assistance to children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
About the Role:
You will be working closely with individual children who have:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Asperger's Syndrome
- Dyslexia
- Global Learning Delays
Your vital role will involve providing personalised support to help these children access the curriculum, develop their social and emotional skills, and thrive in their educational environment.
To excel in this 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, successful candidates will demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, adapting their approach to each child's unique needs. We are looking for individuals who are observant, resourceful, and proactive, able to implement positive behaviour strategies and support literacy and numeracy. Crucially, a genuine passion for working with children with SEN is essential, coupled with resilience, reliability, and a professional, positive, and confidential demeanour.
Work Patterns:
We have a variety of roles available to suit different needs:
- Role lengths vary from short-term (6 weeks) to long-term (2-3 terms).
- All positions are term-time only, operating Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
- We offer both part-time (3 days a week) and full-time (5 days a week) opportunities.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
We welcome applications from both Level 2 and Level 3 qualified candidates in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Childcare, or equivalent. Proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, Asperger's, Dyslexia, or Global Learning Delays, is highly desirable. Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions (e.g.sensory integration, positive behaviour support) would also be beneficial.
