About the Role:

As a Construction Teacher in Blackpool, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality vocational education to students across various levels.   • Support students in developing essential practical skills through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Foster strong links with local construction companies to provide students with industry insight and work experience opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the construction industry and educational best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential:
    • Relevant qualification in Construction or a related trade (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4, HNC/HND, Degree).
    • Significant industry experience in a construction trade (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, electrical).
    • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations within the construction industry.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
    • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
    • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Desirable:
    • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS) or a willingness to work towards one.
    • Experience teaching in a further education or vocational training setting.
    • Assessor or verifier qualifications (e.g., A1/TAQA).
    • Familiarity with current construction curriculum and apprenticeship frameworks in the UK.
