Due to an overwhelming demand for school cleaning staff, we're urgently seeking new team members! If you're a meticulous and reliable individual with a keen eye for detail, we need you to help us create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff.

We're looking for dedicated School Cleaners to join our friendly team on a temporary contract starting in September 2025. This vital role involves supporting primary and secondary schools across the Blackpool and Fylde Coast, ensuring a healthy and positive learning environment for our pupils. Working hours are across Monday - Friday both in and outside of term time. Pay is between £13.68 - £14.68 per hour. Work will be based in Blackpool at one of our schools.

The Role:

As a School Cleaner, you'll be responsible for a variety of cleaning duties to ensure our schools remain sparkling. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily cleaning of classrooms, corridors, communal areas, and offices.
  • Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and toilet facilities.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Dusting and polishing surfaces.
  • Replenishing supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels).
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and KCSIE guidelines.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate person.
About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment.
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An understanding of health and safety procedures related to cleaning.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
