Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer

Location: Blackpool
Salary:38,000 - 45,000 per year

Overview of Role:

The Gas Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating systems in clients' properties. They will ensure that heating and hot water systems are operating efficiently, safely, and that repairs are completed promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out breakdown work on a variety of domestic properties across the region.
  • Provide high levels of customer care to clients and tenants to meet quality standards.
  • Communicate updates and progress of work, ensuring accurate paperwork is completed both electronically and manually.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH Records.
  • Follow stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure that relevant parts are available.

Key Attributes & Requirements:

  • Gas qualifications are essential (minimum CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1).
  • Out of hours evening and weekend cover on a rota basis is required.
  • Friendly and professional attitude to build strong relationships with clients and tenants.
  • Successful completion of criminal and reference checks before employment.
