Transfer Station Plant Operative

We are currently recruiting a Plant Operative for our clients bust waste and recycling depot

Shift Pattern

Mon-Fri 8- 00 - 16:30 

. Duties

 • Operating mobile plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment

. • Managing traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles.

 • Operate the weighbridge and accurately record the weight and other specified details of vehicles both entering and leaving the site.

 • Ensure that the site complies fully with its legal duties, in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.

. • Co-operating directly with customers and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.

 • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role. Requirements:

• Operational experience and current licences for loading shovel, 360 and forklift

. • Prior waste / recycling or similar process environment highly advantageous.

 • Excellent understanding and approach to health & safety.

• Great communication and customer service skills.

• Good IT skills advantageous.
