We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively in both learning and personal development.



The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons.

  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage confidence, independence and personal growth.

  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment.



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH is highly desirable - whether as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or through similar roles.

  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour support.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.

  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
