Due to continued expansion our client, a well-established and reputable travel company is actively seeking an experienced, self-driven and dedicated Travel Consultant to complement their friendly team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, key responsibilities will include:

Responsible for the day-to-day planning of all elements of a tour including itinerary planning, customer invoicing, ticketing, and final documentation

Use effective communication skills to build rapport with clients and exceed their expectations

Ensure accurate, customer friendly documentation is sent to clients and suppliers in a timely manner

Actively seek out customer feedback and make use of this to constantly improve our services and our customers ever-changing needs

Understand the needs of customers and work to simplify the tour booking process wherever possible

Maintain a good, up to date knowledge of key visits and optional extras for each destination to add value and margin wherever possible

Build long term relationships and maximise the retention of clients through excellent customer service and product delivery

Minimise the impact of issues and implement improvements to ensure they are avoided wherever possible

Work closely with the Product & Marketing Team to research, identify/add new visits and/or products to our portfolio and generate ideas for marketing and promotional activity

Ensure the timely collection of due payments to maximise cash flow

As a successful candidate, you will have experience within the travel industry, together with a professional approach to customer service, great attention to detail and geographical knowledge together with excellent IT Skills and experience of MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
