Financial Controller - Fast-Paced Manufacturing BusinessLocation: Blackwood, South Wales (Onsite)

I'm currently working with a successful and growing manufacturing business that is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you can add real value and make an immediate impact.

The RoleReporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while also driving financial performance. The role is very hands-on, with responsibility across all areas of management reporting, cash flow, and financial control, while also providing commercial insight to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for monthly management accounts and reporting

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Cash flow management and working capital optimisation

  • Partnering with operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability

  • Oversight of statutory accounts, audit, and compliance

  • Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls

  • Supporting senior leadership with strategic decision-making

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or fast-moving environment is highly advantageous

  • Hands-on, detail-driven, and comfortable being involved in all areas of finance

  • Strong communicator who can influence and build relationships across the business

  • Commercially minded with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders
