I'm currently working with a successful and growing manufacturing business that is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you can add real value and make an immediate impact.
The RoleReporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while also driving financial performance. The role is very hands-on, with responsibility across all areas of management reporting, cash flow, and financial control, while also providing commercial insight to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for monthly management accounts and reporting

Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Cash flow management and working capital optimisation

Partnering with operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability

Oversight of statutory accounts, audit, and compliance

Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls

Supporting senior leadership with strategic decision-making
The Ideal Candidate

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

Previous experience within a manufacturing or fast-moving environment is highly advantageous

Hands-on, detail-driven, and comfortable being involved in all areas of finance

Strong communicator who can influence and build relationships across the business

Commercially minded with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders
