We are currently looking for a junior production planner to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. This hire will join the existing production planning team and can look forward to long term opportunities within the business.

The Role:

  • Create and maintain short and medium term schedules from customer demand and clearly communicate any constraints or other issues to management as required.
  • Liaise with other members of the Operations team to formulate and coordinate weekly production plans for manufacturing, considering all material availability, capacity constraints and resource.
  • Organising the necessary raw materials in order to meet production demand.
  • The presentation of up-to-date plans in daily/weekly Planning meetings, attended by other key departments.
  • Monitor the manufacturing output against the production plans and initiate corrective action.
  • To be aware of general production and technical constraints.
  • Provide data, reports and agreed KPI's to demonstrate the above objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a technical field; Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain/Procurement or similar. (Essential)
  • 1+ years planning experience, ideally in production/manufacturing but all planning backgrounds will be considered. (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of SAP (Preferred)
