Acorn by Synergie is currenty recruiting for a vacancy for a Skilled Injection Mould Condition Setter with a driven and ambitious attitude.

The successful candidate would be required to work as part of a technical team in a busy and fast paced injection moulding shop floor environment. The company operates a 24/7 production schedule with 16 injection moulding machines including Negri Bossi, Engel and BMB ranging from 110-1300 ton press size.

The day to day role would be:

  • Carrying out mould tool changes as per daily schedule (avg 5-8 tool changes per day)
  • Process and adapt conditions to produce quality approved components
  • Complete settings paperwork
  • Use of overhead gantry
  • Use of robots to include six axis robots
  • Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines
  • Ensuring and assisting in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Handling of heavy and expensive tooling

The successful candidate would need to be competent in process knowledge as well as a good understanding of automation and process and technical trouble shooting.

Working hours and pay

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5.00pm (However, the demands of the business may require you to stay on until 5:30pm+ so flexibility would be a requirement).

Overtime would be paid over and above the normal contracted hours of 47.5hrs per week

Salary between £34k - £38k per annum - this is dependent on experience.

Other information

You will be required to join an on-call rota after the initial 3-month training.
