Job Title: Yard Operative

Location: Cheshire
Salary: Up to £33,000 + 10% Profit Share
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, alternating Saturday mornings
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

KBB Recruitment are looking for a Yard Operative to join a friendly team at a leading Builders Merchant in Cheshire. You’ll be responsible for managing yard stock, assisting customers, operating a forklift, and making deliveries in a Class 2 wagon. A great opportunity for someone with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills who enjoys working in a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and maintain yard stock, ensuring materials are easily accessible.

• Assist customers, providing guidance and excellent service.

• Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift.

• Deliver materials to customers using a Class 2 wagon.

• Maintain health and safety standards within the yard.

• Collaborate with team members to keep things running smoothly.

Key Requirements:

• Driving License: Full, valid driving license.

• Counterbalance Forklift License required.

• Class 2 Wagon License desirable.

• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable personality.

• Hardworking, reliable, and attention to detail.

• Positive attitude and a team player.
