Maintenance Engineer - Leading Manufacturer | Blandford Forum | Up to 45,000 DOE + Benefits

Location: Blandford Forum
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: Monday from 7.00am to 5.30pm and Tuesday to Thursday, from 7.00am to 5.00pm

The Role:
We're seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our machinery and facilities. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime, support continuous improvement, and help drive our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily and weekly equipment checks

  • Perform planned and emergency maintenance

  • Lead the deployment of PPM schedules

  • Optimise equipment and reduce unplanned downtime

  • Support installation of new machinery and equipment

  • Maintain compliance with HSE regulations

  • Carry out root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Manage internal and external contractors

  • Keep maintenance records and complete risk assessments

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (essential)

  • NVQ Level 3-4 / BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • 18th Edition wiring regulations (required)

  • HND in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Production Engineering (desirable)

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
