Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking to recruit Production Operatives in their Fettling department.  You will assist in the manufacturing, finishing and testing of their products, utilising fettling, linishing, shot-blasting, etching and band saw operation.

As a Fettling Production Operative main duties will include:

  • Processing parts in accordance with production schedules
  • Removing excess material from parts using compressed air driven hand tools
  • Using manual grinders or bandsaws to improve surface flatness
  • Quality checking products
  • Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders

The ideal Fettling Production Operative will have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience using hand tools

You will possess a good work ethic, strong attention to detail and excellent time keeping skills.  You will also:

  • Be physically fit as the role may involve periods of standing and some manual lifting to move parts around the factory floor
  • Have safety boots, all other PPE provided

Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 06:00 - 18:00 - 46 hours per week.
