Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, is seeking Production Operatives for their Foundry to assist in the aluminum investment casting process.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a manufacturing, factory, or construction environment and must be physically fit due to the strenuous nature of the role.
Key responsibilities include aluminum melt preparation, cleaning and preparing molds, pouring molten metal, and reporting any production machinery issues.
This position offers a salary of £12.50 per hour with the opportunity for optional overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays once permanent.
Candidates are required to have a good work ethic, physical coordination, and excellent timekeeping skills, with a temp-to-perm employment structure in place.

AsaFoundryProductionOperativeyourmaindutieswillinclude:

Aluminiummeltpreparationpriortocasting
Cleaningandpreparingmouldsforcasting
Pouringmoltenmetalintothemoulds(casting)
Movingmouldsfollowingcasting
Removingtheceramicshellfromthefinishedcast
Reportinganyissueswithproductionmachinerytoteamleaders

TheidealFoundryProductionOperativewillhave:

Highdegreeofphysicalfitness.Thisisastrenuousrolewithahighdegreeofmanualhandling.
ExperienceinaManufacturing/Factory/Production/Constructionenvironment.
Agoodworkethic,
Agoodlevelofphysicalcoordination
Excellenttimekeepingskills.

HoursofWork

MondaytoThursday6am-4.30pm-40hoursperweek

ThisroleisTempPermwitha2weekperiodoftemporaryworkingbasisbeforepermanentemploymentstatusisachieved.

Weeklypay,plusholidaypay,forthefirst2weeksmovingtomonthlypaywhenpermanent.

ThereistheopportunityforoptionalovertimeonFridaysandsomeSaturdayswhenonapermanentbasis.Permanentbenefitsincludefreeon-siteparking,25daysholidayplusBankholidaysandpension.
